Room for Reading

21 Woodlands Terrace, Glasgow, G3 6DF

21 April 2016

Thursday 21 April, 12 - 7pm, drop in, no booking necessary.

To mark Glasgow International 2016, we are holding an additional Room for Reading day this April.

Room for Reading is an opportunity to make use of our unique library on the first Thursday of every month. Designed by artist Andrew Miller and filled with an expansive collection of art books, magazines and periodicals, the library is available for reference and research from lunchtime until late, with tea and coffee provided.

Not sure what to read? Books are suggested every month in conjunction our exhibitions and projects. This event features a selection of publications on our exhibiting artist, Akram Zaatari:

'Mapping Sitting: On Portraiture and Photography' Karl Bassil, Zeina Maasri, and Akram Zaatari, published by Mind The Gap and Arab Image Foundation, 2002
'EARTH of ENDLESS SECRETS' Karl Bassil and Akram Zaatari, published by Portikus, Sfeir-Semler Gallery and Beirut Art Centre, 2009
'All Is Well' Akram Zaatari, published by Agnes Etherington Art Centre and Carleton University Art Gallery, 2014

Please email [email protected] to enquire.
