Jenni Lomax

The Trade Halls of Glasgow, 85 Glassford St, Merchant City, Glasgow G1 1UH

6 March 2008

‘Detours’ is a series of talks introducing views from elsewhere by leaders in the visual arts. Speakers discuss the relationship between practice and context: how institutions and professional practice develop in response to specific situations, both geographic and cultural.

Jenni Lomax is Director of Camden Arts Centre, London, one of London’s best-loved and respected institutions, which places artists at the heart of everything it does, from residencies to artist-selected group shows. Jenni led the much-praised renovation and redevelopment of Camden’s building, re-opening in 2004. It has since been described as ‘London’s best public contemporary art space’ by The Evening Standard.

This event was a collaboration with Glasgow School of Art.
